Julia Flasphaler is a mixed Korean American writer and educator based in Southern California. She was born at Yongsan Garrison in Seoul to an American military father and a Korean mother, then moved to the US when she was two. 

Since then, she's lived in Washington, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Montréal, Grenoble, New York City, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Her moon is in the ninth house; she's driven cross-country twice, can sort of speak French, and is learning how to keep living after growing up with domestic violence.
